Individually hand-painted in Indonesia using traditional batik tulis wax-resist techniques, no two Alba Batik Camp Shirts are alike.

Designed with a relaxed collar, a chest pocket, and contrasting recycled seashell marble buttons, each shirt features subtle variations in colour and pattern that reflect its hand-drawn process and handcrafted nature.

Ian is 177cm / 5ft 10in. and wears a size L. Designed with an intentionally oversized fit, our Batik Shirts offer a relaxed, easy drape. Size down if you prefer a more fitted look.

  • Created in South Yogyakarta using batik tulis, the oldest Indonesian wax-resist technique, where patterns are drawn entirely by hand with a canting and built through layered waxing and dyeing
  • Each garment is produced individually, resulting in unique markings, crackle, and dye lines that reflect the handmade process while maintaining consistent quality and wearability

FABRIC & FIBRE

COLOUR & NATURAL DYEING

  • This piece is naturally dyed using Mahogany Bark, Beleric Fruit, and Cockspur Thorn Heartwood
  • These plant-based dyes create soft, muted tones that reflect nature rather than uniform colour
  • Due to the hand-dyeing process and seasonal factors such as sun, rainfall, and water minerals, colour variation is expected and celebrated — each piece is one of a kind. Learn more about our natural dyes →



Care Instructions
  • Cold, hand wash using mild detergent e.g wool/baby detergent (avoid citrus-based products)
  • for convenience: gentle cold machine wash
  • Do not rub or wring. Air dry flat or hang in shade
  • Warm iron if desired
  • No dry cleaning is neccesary – harsh chemicals may damage natural fibers, dyes, and the environment


Our plant-based natural dyes are colorfast. However, no dyeing chemicals means small color runs / slight fading may appear where the natural mordant has not taken to the fabric. Refer to our care for more info.

Designed for versatility, Our Batik shirts can be worn relaxed or gently structured.

Style with natural fibers trousers or denim for everyday ease, or layer open over a tee for warmer days. The breathable cotton softens with wear, making these pieces ideal for repeat styling and lived-in comfort.
