Each piece is finished with an authentic Sumbanese hand-stitched detail running down the centre of the panel, serving as the artisan’s signature and a mark of individual craftsmanship.

Each Lūm textile is handloomed by skilled Ikat Weavers in the Sumba Island of Indonesia using a traditional backstrap loom, with techniques passed down through generations. From hand-twisting the yarns to the slow weaving and natural dyeing process, every stage reflects care, skill, and lived knowledge.

Made exclusively in collaboration with RŪPAHAUS, each piece carries subtle variations in texture and tone that honour the authenticity of handcrafted production and ensure no two textiles are ever exactly the same.
