Rooted in a long tradition of everyday and ceremonial dress, Lorek’s striped motifs speak quietly of resilience, direction, and community, reinterpreted in our range through contemporary silhouettes for modern wear.

Crafted entirely on traditional pedal looms by our Lorek Weavers using slow, ethical production methods, no two pieces will ever be exactly the same, even when made from the same textile run. Subtle shifts in texture, colour or pattern are expected and reflect the authenticity of slow, ethical production and the handcrafted nature of the fabric, while the overall quality and durability remain consistent.

This piece is naturally dyed using organic materials derived from plants and handcrafted from 100% pure, unbleached cotton grown locally in Indonesia.

Using the traditional method of wooden looms, every length of cloth carries subtle differences in weave density and colour. No two pieces will ever be exactly the same, even from the same roll. These variations are part of the fabric’s handcrafted nature, with consistent quality across all garments.

• Cold, hand wash using mild detergent e.g wool/baby detergent (avoid citrus-based products)
• for convenience: gentle cold machine wash
• Do not rub or wring. Air dry flat or hang in shade
• Warm iron if desired
• No dry cleaning is neccesary – harsh chemicals may damage natural fibers, dyes, and the environment

Our plant-based natural dyes are colorfast. However, no dyeing chemicals means small color runs / slight fading may appear where the natural mordant has not taken to the fabric. Refer to our care for more info.
