What handrolled actually means
No mould, no pour. Each candle is built up by hand around the wick, layer by layer, until the shape holds. It takes longer than pouring wax into a form, which is exactly why the batches stay small — there's a limit to how many hands can do in a day. Two candles from the same batch won't sit at identical weight or exactly the same line. That's the hand in it, not a flaw to smooth out.
Four shapes, mixed on purpose
Taper, short pillar, large pillar, and pine. None of them are meant to stand alone — they're sized to sit together on a shelf, a windowsill, either side of a doorway. The pine shape came out of wanting something with a bit of height without the commitment of a full taper burn.
Why there's no scent
No fragrance oil goes into these. Raw beeswax has its own smell — warm, faintly honeyed — and adding scent on top of that would cover the one thing that makes the wax worth using in the first place. If you're expecting a strong throw of fragrance across a room, these aren't that. If you want a candle that smells like what it's actually made from, they are.
